A new low-cost 3D surface profiling system from Rhombus Vision will be shown measuring a variety of different components.
The Hornet has a 100 x 100mm X/Y travel and can utilise any of the range of optical sensor systems from Precitec Optronik GmbH. The intuitive control and analysis software incorporated in the package makes the Hornet ideal for many complex and repetitive measurement tasks.
Parameters such as 3D shape, flatness, roughness can be obtained for surfaces with a wide variety of characteristics ranging from specular glass and metal surfaces to matt and biological surfaces. Operating in “thickness mode” the Hornet is also capable of measuring the thickness of transparent materials such as glass and varnish and also exotic materials such as silicon and gallium arsenide wafers.
